RewardEd is an iOS app for children ages 2–12. We've designed it specifically to follow Apple's Kids Category guidelines, the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K), and the California Age-Appropriate Design Code.
This notice is written for parents. A child-friendly summary is shown inside the app under Parent Zone → Privacy & Compliance.
RewardEd is published by RewardEd, the developer of this app.

Nothing personal. The app stores the following on the device only, and it never leaves the device:
We do not collect: your child's full name, real birthdate, photo, voice recordings, email, phone number, address, contacts, calendar, location, IDFA / advertising identifier, behavioral profile, or biometric data.
The only thing we ask of you is a display name (optional) so the app can address you. We do not ask for your email, phone number, or payment information — purchases (if you make them) go directly through Apple's App Store.
We don't read your device identifier, advertising identifier, or any diagnostic data linked to your identity. The app does not include any crash reporter or analytics SDK at this time. If we ever add one, it will be opt-in, on-device-aggregated, and called out clearly in an updated version of this notice.
The on-device data described above powers the app's features: showing your child the next lesson, tracking streaks and XP, calculating reward minutes, and showing you the weekly summary in the Parent Zone. We do not use the data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.
There are no other third-party services. No analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising framework, no social-network integration.
Some illustrations and the app icon were created with the help of an AI image-generation tool during development and reviewed by a human for child-appropriateness. No AI model runs inside the app, and no child data is ever sent to any image service — the artwork is static and bundled when the app is built.
Every part of the app that could affect what your child sees, spends, or accesses sits behind the Parent Gate (Face ID / Touch ID with a math-challenge fallback): all purchases, all settings, the Parent Zone dashboard, and the YouTube Kids launch button. You can delete all child data at any time from the Parent Zone.
Because we do not collect personal information from children, COPPA's verifiable parental consent requirement is not triggered. If we ever change that — for example, to add accounts or cloud sync — we will obtain verifiable parental consent first and update this notice.
Same posture as COPPA. No personal data is collected from children.
We do not "sell" or "share" any personal information of California minors. We follow the California Age-Appropriate Design Code by default: data minimization, no behavioral profiling, age-appropriate experience.
Material changes will be announced in the app at next launch and reflected here. The "Last updated" date at the top will always be current.
